Can anyone apply for SCC membership?

Yes, anyone can apply (regardless of residency or other status) however acceptance is subject to the provisions in the Bylaws as follows:

All applications for membership will be made on a form furnished by the secretary and will state the applicant’s name, address, telephone number, email address, age (if a minor), date of application, collecting interest, and a statement “Applicant understands that membership is a privilege and may be denied or revoked for any reason,” and will be accompanied by the membership fee. The secretary will publish the applicant’s name in the following club newsletter for possible challenges. If no challenge is made, the application will be accepted as of the next meeting following publication. If a challenge is made the application will be held in abeyance until the challenge is resolved. The secretary will try to resolve the matter informally; if unsuccessful, the matter will be brought to a vote of the general membership.

How much are the membership dues?

SCC dues are a good bargain: $12.00 for an individual membership (effective Jan. 1, 2026) and remain $15.00 for a family membership until otherwise announced. See below to get the SCC membership application.

How do I apply for SCC membership?
