Seattle Coin Club Business

This page deals with the SCC Bylaws, business, business meetings, etc.
SCC officers, board members, and appointed officers are listed on the About page.
The club was named the Seattle Numismatic Society (SNS) from 2003 to 2022.

This is the final 2026 approved version of the Bylaws and Auction Rules.

How do coin club usually deal with business?

Although every club is different, most clubs prefer to keep regular monthly meetings as enjoyable as possible, focusing on fellowship, numismatic education, etc., while limiting business to essential topics that club members need to know about, such as information about upcoming events like coin shows, fairs, etc. (if any). Board/business meetings, when needed, are usually held separately, or nowadays, may be held online.

When are business meetings held?

Seattle Coin Club business meetings may be held from time-to-time as required. Occasionally a short business meeting will be held before the start of a regular monthly meeting. Please contact the club president or secretary for more information, or email info@seattlecoinclub.org.

What is the current board/business meeting schedule?

Board Meeting Schedule (announced Oct. 2025): It was agreed that we would meet once per quarter after our regular meeting in August, November, February and May. This is subject to change. Contact the club for the latest information.

Can SCC members make proposals?

Yes! SCC members are encouraged to submit specific proposals for educational activities or special events to the secretary at or before scheduled meetings. Suggestions, requests and comments can also be submitted to info@seattlecoinclub.org.
