What Awards are Given by the SCC?

The Seattle Coin Club may from time to time give awards to its members for a variety of activities including speaking at meetings and displaying numismatic material at meetings.

See below for the different types of numismatic awards. These awards are not the same as prizes. The club may also offer raffle and other special prizes at its meetings.

Speaker Awards

Speakers at SCC monthly meetings are recognized and may receive a numismatic item and/or an award certificate at the annual banquet. Recognition from the ANA may also be given.

Life Membership

Typically, the highest award given by local numismatic organizations is the award of Honorary Life Membership for many years of outstanding service to the organization and the local community. Both the SCC and the PNNA can make this award to their members. Past presidents may qualify for the award upon successful completion of their term of office.

Other Awards

Other awards, such as for volunteering at local coin shows or at the Washington State Fair, may also be given at the discretion of the board. SCC members may also qualify for PNNA awards, and several club members have already received awards from the PNNA and the ANA.
