When was the SCC logo developed?

The current Seattle Coin Club logo was introduced after the club returned to using the SCC name in 2023. It replaces the SNS logo in use from 2003 to 2022 (see below).

Can I use the SCC logo for business or other purposes?

SCC members may use the SCC logo (new version shown above) on business cards, letterheads, websites and similar communications (including personal as well as business use) provided that the member intends to conduct business in accordance with high ethical standards, including the ANA code of ethics. Anyone whose SCC membership is revoked will no longer have permission to use the logo.

Members wishing to use the SCC logo should contact the club secretary to apply for permission and artwork. No permission is required to use such simple statements as “SCC #104” or “member SCC.” If you are not yet an SCC member, see the membership page.

Which logo or logos were used previously?

Several different logos have been used over the 90-year history of the club. The logo/header shown below, in use from 2003 to 2022 when the club was named the Seattle Numismatic Society, is based on a Chief Seattle medal (but not the same club medal as depicted in the current logo). Previous logos should only be used or displayed in the appropriate historical context.
